So I just got done doing laundry. It was good fun and highly successful ... and I didn't even have Chrissy to
help ;) (ah sampler <3). Today I painted a beaver on the side of our voyageur canoe and it looks pretty awesome if I must say so myself. And I do. John likes it too ... I would upload pictures for you but I can't because of my computer situation. I hear the wireless is working now though so maybe after this I'll go and try out my laptop. Carl and all the other brigades left on their "swamper" trip this morning between 10:30 and 11. Last night, we were worried that they'd be leaving RIGHT after breakfast and I'd still be sleeping before they took off ... luckily (?) it took much longer to get prepped to go and things so I got to chill with the lot of them for an hour or so until I felt guilty about not doing what John wanted me to (looking at pictures of beavers so I could better paint one) so I said farewell to them and that was that. So now they're out on the water for 5 days and I can only hope they have fun and are SAFE. Somebody next to me just said, "Man, its like, raining." Annnd it is. So now, I think I'll post this and be off just in case the power goes out again... -C

Cassie,
ReplyDeleteI just finished cathcing up on your latest postings to get a sense of your daily life. It sounds like you are making progress at the camp in preparation for the invasion of campers. I would like to see the picture of the beaver you painted if it's really that good. The temperature up there is significantly colder than down here in the lower half of the state. We have been seeing temperatures close to 80, but no rain, so send us some. I keep waiting for water rationing to kick in. The lakes and streams are pretty low.
That is a great beaver. Do they put something new on it every year?
ReplyDeleteNope, there was nothing there before.
ReplyDeleteBecka thinks that your beave is awsome. She experienced chemical burns on her fingertips tonight because she was trying to clean her rock with Brian's hydrogen peroxide (40%). Any ways she is happy that there is only 3 1/2 days of school left.
ReplyDeleteHey Becka :) glad see you're in on this too! I worked really hard on that beaver - I'm glad you think it looks good. I hope your burns are okay! So exciting to be almost done with school!
